This course will cover common emergencies one might encounter with Exotic Companion Mammals. We will briefly review normal parameters, physical examination, and some of the unique challenges when dealing with small companion mammals. We will then focus on the different types of emergent situations one might see in the ER. Case examples will be discussed as well as nursing care tips.
This lecture will consist of a review of the management of acute and chronic diarrhea from an evidence-based approach. The discussion includes an analysis of the common tests and a simple algorithm for treatment.
