Charles Garoupa is originally from Fresno, CA. He grew up playing with cows and horses on his family’s dairy farm. His veterinary career started as a kennel tech at an exotics practice and quickly escalated to tech school at Pierce College. Upon returning home to Fresno he established and coordinated the surgery department at Fresno Veterinary Specialty Services, before moving to San Jose where he worked at two busy multi-specialty practices. He now resides in Los Angeles where he is the anesthesia department supervisor at VCA West Los Angeles. He has two almost perfect dogs Bea Arthur and Nina, and two cats Moo and Bella. His professional interests include ultrasound guided local blocks, hypotension management, and all aspects of pain management.
